      Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara, Attorney at Law,— To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation,— (1)

      (a) Will he inform this House of the —

      (i) procedure currently applied for purchasing paddy;

      (ii) quantity of paddy expected to be purchased by the government this time in metric tons; and

      (iii) places where the above paddy stocks will be stored?

      (b) Will he also inform this House of the—

      (i) minimum price set for each variety of paddy when purchasing   them; and

      (ii) time period that these prices will be in effect?

      (c) If not, why?
