Hon. Chithral Fernando, Attorney at Law,—To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House of the—
(i) number of national schools situated within the Puttalam District;
(ii) number of educational zones within the District concerned;
(iii) number of vacancies exist for teachers within each of the educational zones concerned in respect of each subject separately; and
(iv) measures that will be taken to give a permanent solution to the scarcity of teachers prevailing in the Puttalam District
(b) If not, why?
