Hon. Chithral Fernando, Attorney at Law,— To ask the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the date on which the agreement between the government of Sri Lanka and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was inked;
(ii) whether he is aware of the immense pressure that has been exerted on the people due to the terms of the agreement;
(iii) whether the said agreement will be amended giving them some relief; and
(iv) if so, of the measures that will be taken in that regard?
(b) If not, why?
