Hon. Ravi Karunanayake,—To ask the Minister of Labour,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House on yearly basis, of the—
(i) labour force in Sri Lanka for the last 5 years in government sector and private sector, separately;
(ii) number of government servants both permanent and casual for the last 10 years, separately;
(iii) total financial cost of salaries and emoluments for the government servants for the last 10 years; and
(iv) total amount of pensions paid over the last 10 years?
(b) Will he also inform this House on yearly basis, of the —
(i) prognosis of the labour force in Sri Lanka for the next 10 years in government sector and private sector, separately;
(ii) number of government servants intended to be recruited for the next 5 years, separately;
(iii) projected pensions expenditure for the next 10 years; and
(iv) projected number of pensioners for the next 10 years?
(c) If not, why?
