Hon. Kins Nelson,— To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether he is aware that a programme called ‘Mahaweli Punaruda Sathiya’ (Mahaweli Re-awakening Week) was implemented recently;
(ii) of the objective of the aforesaid programme;
(iii) of the total amount of money spent on the programme; and
(iv) of the measures that were implemented under the aforesaid programme to empower the Mahaweli farmers?
(b) If not, why?
