Hon. Rohitha Abeygunawardhana,—To ask the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House of the —
(i) date on which the previous government suspended the importation of vehicles into Sri Lanka;
(ii) number of vehicles that have been imported for public servants since that date;
(iii) amount of money spent on the importation of the said vehicles;
(iv) number of vehicles that have been allocated to public servants so far out of the imported vehicles mentioned above;
(v) names of the individuals to whom the said vehicles have been allocated, along with the respective institutions they serve/served and their designations, separately;
(vi) number of vehicles that have not yet been handed over to public servants out of the imported vehicles referred to above; and
(vii) reasons for not handing over the vehicles to public servants?
(b) If not, why?
