Hon. Dharmapriya Dissanayake,—To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education,— (1)
(a) Will she inform this House —
(i) whether she is aware that the construction of the large function hall at Kuliyapitiya Central College, commenced under the “Deyata Kirula” programme, has been completed only partially and stopped halfway;
(ii) of the amount that has been spent so far on the construction of the said building;
(iii) of the steps that will be taken to complete the construction of the function hall concerned, which will benefit the people of the Kuliyapitiya area;
(iv) whether the cost for the abovementioned construction has been estimated; and
(v) if so, of the estimated cost of the said construction?
(b) If not, why?
