Hon. Chithral Fernando, Attorney at Law,— To ask the Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether there is a possibility of obtaining police officers, vehicles and other resources of the Sri Lanka Police for the security of private and commercial activities on paid basis;
(ii) if so, of the legal provisions that are applicable to it;
(iii) of the relevant procedure to be followed;
(iv) whether there is a maximum limit imposed on the provision of police officers and vehicles;
(v) of the methodology for charging money for providing the services mentioned in (i) above; and
(vi) of the revenue earned by the Sri Lanka Police from providing such services in the year 2024 and in the year 2025 up to date, separately?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) of the criteria that are taken into consideration in relation to the party requesting to obtain the services mentioned in (a) (i) above; and
(ii) whether security analysis reports are called in order to determine whether there is any threat to that party?
(c) If not, why?
