Hon. Stepni Fernando,— To ask the Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether he is aware that a portion of the land on which the Welisara Warehouse Complex belonging to the Cooperative Wholesale Establishment is situated has been allotted for the construction of an office complex for the lawyers of the Wattala Court Complex;
(ii) of the procedure that has been followed in allotting the said portion of land;
(iii) whether he is aware that the Wattala Bar Association has leased out the said portion of land to another person to be used as a vehicle park at present;
(iv) if so, of the action that will be taken in this regard; and
(v) of the measures that will be taken regarding the said portion of land?
(b) If not, why?
