Hon. Rajeevan Jeyachandramoorthy,— To ask the Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether he is aware that there are graduates among the officers placed in PL 1, PL 2 and PL 3 salary scales according to the Public Administration circular 06/2006;
(ii) if so, of the number of such graduates;
(iii) whether the aforementioned underemployed graduates will be provided with suitable places of work;
(iv) if so, of the methodology that will be adopted to implement this;
(v) of the solution that will be provided to the graduates over 40 years of age who are among the underemployed;
(vi) whether there is a system in place to promote underemployed graduates based on their qualifications without conducting an examination; and
(vii) if not, whether such a system will be introduced?
(b) If not, why?
