Hon. Thurairasa Ravikaran,—To ask the Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the number of scheduled bus journeys with online seat reservation facility that have been cancelled by the Sri Lanka Transport Board during the year 2025 without any alternative arrangement;
(ii) of the total amount of money collected as fares for the bus journeys so cancelled but have not been refunded still;
(iii) whether a course of action will be implemented to inform the passengers in advance in cases where above mentioned bus journeys are cancelled and to refund the money collected for it without delay; and
(iv) whether steps will be taken to review the online seat reservation policy to ensure that this activity is conducted transparently for the benefit of passengers ?
(b) If not, why?
