Hon. Sajith Premadasa,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Will he state—
(i) the number of government schools located within the Southern Province;
(ii) separately, the number of qualified principals serving in these schools and the number of principals those who have not completed such qualifications;
(iii) the basis on which the persons who have not completed the qualifications appointed as acting principals;
(iv) the measures that will be taken regarding such acting principals;
(v) whether the principals who have completed the qualifications will be appointed to these schools; and
(vi) how long will it take?
(b) If not, why?
