Hon. Sajith Premadasa,— To ask the Minister of Sports,—
(a) Will he inform this House, whether —
(i) the necessary qualifications had been met by the company to which the contract had been awarded for refurbishing the Sugathadasa Stadium for the Asian Junior Athletics meet held in June 2012;
(ii) the company had done the refurbishment of the track in a satisfactory standard;
(iii) there is truth in the allegations that the constructions undertaken by the same company at the Bogambara Stadium were lacking in standard; and
(iv) the refurbishment work of the Sugathadasa Stadium was properly supervised by the officials of the Ministry?
(b) If not, why?
