      Hon. Akila Viraj Kariyawasam,— To ask the Minister of Resettlement,—

      (a) Is he aware that—

      (i) the Muslims of the Northern Province, displaced owing to the war, have returned to their original villages as they were promised of necessary registration and infrastructure facilities;

      (ii) no step has been taken so far to provide nearly 32,000 such families with necessary registration, infrastructure and educational facilities; and

      (iii) matters relevant this issue have been raised at nearly 1400 rounds of discussion held by now ?

      (b) Will he state—

      (i) the number of displaced Muslims who have returned to their original villages in the year 2012;

      (ii) out of those returnees , the number that has been registered by now;

      (iii)  the reason for not effecting the necessary registration and not providing infrastructure  facilities despite the required financial allocations being provided by Non-government Organizations for the purpose of resettling  the displaced Muslims; and

      (iv) whether arrangements will be made to register them and provide them with the necessary facilities before a foreign country intervenes to solve this problem ?

      (c) If not, why?
