Hon. Anura Dissanayaka,— To ask the Minister of Petroleum Industries,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) separately, of the market share percentage acquired by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation in the Sri Lankan fuel market with relevance to each of the fuel types Petrol, Diesel and Super Diesel; and
(ii) separately, of the amount of fuel in litres corresponding to each of the aforesaid percentages?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) whether there is any other company engaged in selling fuel other than the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation in Sri Lanka;
(ii) if so, separately of the market share percentage acquired by that company in the fuel market in selling Petrol, Diesel and Super Diesel;
(iii) separately, of the amount of fuel in litres corresponding to each of the aforesaid percentages;
(iv) whether any special tax concessions which are not enjoyed by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has been granted to that company;
(v) if so, of the period for which those concessions have been given; and
(vi) of the reasons for giving such special privileges to that company?
(c) If not, why?
