Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Minister of Local Government and Provincial Councils,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) the garbage collected in the city of Kandy is disposed of at a place in Gohagoda area in Kandy close to the Mahaweli river; and
(ii) an animal farm is run close to that place?
(b) Will he state—
(i) whether legal permission has been granted to run an animal farm in the aforesaid place;
(ii) if so, the names of the institutions that have granted the aforesaid permission or the name of the institution that has granted the aforesaid permission;
(iii) the name and address of the owner of the aforesaid animal farm; and
(iv) if the owner of the aforesaid farm is employed in another institution in addition to that industry, the name of that institution and the post held by him?
(c) If not, why?
