Hon. Ajith P. Perera,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs,—
(a) Will he state—
(i) whether any citizen of Sri Lanka is entitled to engage in the profession of Sea Marshal;
(ii) whether a letter dated 18.06.2013 has been issued by Mr. D.M.S.D. Jayarathna, Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Defence and Urban Development, to the effect that only the employees of Rakna Arakshana Lanka Ltd are entitled to engage in the profession of Sea Marshal; and
(iii) if so, whether he admits that the right ensured by the Article 14(1) (g) of the Constitution for any citizen to engage in any lawful occupation or profession has been violated by the said letter?
(b) If not, why?
