Hon. Mohamed Aslam,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) in response to General 126 form submitted requesting overseas leave by Mr. A.L.M. Nazis, who was working as an Assistant Teacher at M/Dullewa Vidyalaya in Matale Education Zone of the Central Province, approval of no-pay overseas leave for him from 01.04.1987 to 31.03.1992 was recommended by the Zonal Director of Education,Matale, by the letter No. මා/ගුරුආ/7/281.dated 05. 06. 1989 ; and
(ii) the Zonal Director of Education, Matale, in his letter No. මා/ගුරු ආ/4/53 dated 30.11.2007 to the Provincial Director of Education of the Central Province, has recommended reinstatement of Mr. Nazis considering his satisfactory service of 15 years?
(b) Will he state whether action will be taken to reinstate or sent Mr. Nazis on retirement as he has been left destitute since he was issued a letter of vacation of post due to an internal oversight of the Department of Education?
(c) If not, why?
