Hon. Anura Dissanayaka,— To ask the Minister of Food Security,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the quantity of rice that was proposed to be donated to the World Food Programme as a donation by the Budget 2014;
(ii) of the quantity of rice that has been donated so far in accordance with that proposal;
(iii) of the institute from which that stock of rice was purchased;
(iv) if that stock of rice was purchased by the Paddy Marketing Board, the amount of money spent by the Paddy Marketing Board on that;
(v) of the amount of money made available to the Paddy Marketing Board to purchase that stock of rice; and
(vi) of the amount of money spent on a Metric Tonne of such rice?
(b) If not, why?
