Hon Ajith Mannapperuma,— To ask the Minister of Internal Transport,—
(a) Will he state—
(i) the number of private buses deployed for passenger transport on the Kottawa-Matara expressway;
(ii) whether those buses were selected as per the Tender notice published in the newspapers including 'Lankadeepa' on 06.08.2013;
(iii) if not, the formal method adopted to select those buses; and
(iv) if the buses were not selected in conformity with the above newspaper advertisement, the reasons for doing so?
(b) Will he table the registered numbers and the names of the owners of the busses selected for passenger transport on the above mentioned expressway?
(c) Will he inform this House of the name of the Working Director of the National Transport Commission?
(d) If not, why?
