Hon. Palitha Thewarapperuma,— To ask the Minister of Highways, Ports and Shipping,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) as one enters the Mathugama-Kalutara main road through the Dodangoda Entry Point of the Southern Express Way; a mound of soil which has been lying in a private land located approximately 50 meters towards Mathugama, can be seen blocking the main road;
(ii) the aforesaid mound of soil is an obstruction to the vehicles and the pedestrians who use the particular road;
(iii) road accidents have occurred in the aforesaid location due to the said mound of soil?
(b) will he inform this House—
(i) whether action will be taken to remove the above mound of soil which is located obstructing the road; and
(ii) if so, of that date?
(c) If not, why?
