      Hon. Palitha Thewarapperuma,— To ask the Minister of Public Administration, Local Government and Democratic Governance,—

      (a) Is he aware that —

      (i) approval has been granted for the plan to construct a permanent building in the small plot of land with an extent of 2.8 perches belonging to Mr. Amarapala Jayaneththi, which is located facing the Mathugama-Aluthgama road in Horawala, Diyakithulagodawatta of the Horawala Sub-office area of the Mathugama Pradeshiya Sabha area; and

      (ii) obstructions will be caused to the road that leads to the houses in the surrounding area and the adjoining building once the aforesaid building is constructed?

      (b) Will he state —

      (i) whether granting approval to the aforesaid building plan has been done in adherence to government rules and regulations;

      (ii) if not, the procedure adopted to grant approval to the aforesaid building plan;

      (iii) on which party's necessity that such approval was granted; and

      (iv) the minimum extent of land that is required to grant approval for a building plan as per government rules and regulations?

      (c) If not, why?
