Hon. Wimal Weerawansa,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether an institution has been established by the name of the Task Force for National Reconciliation;
(ii) if so, whether the aforesaid institution has been established with the approval of the Cabinet of Ministers; and
(iii) whether the aforesaid institution was established in accordance with the package of proposals accepted by the government at the United Nations Human Rights Commission?
(b) Will he state the objective of establishing the aforesaid task force along with the functions assigned to it?
(c) Will he also inform this House—
(i) the Chairman and the other members of the aforesaid task force;
(ii) their qualifications, separately; and
(iii) the allowances and the other privileges provided to the chairman and the other 10 members of it for the activities carried out by them through this task force?
(d) If not, why?
