Hon. (Mrs.) Hirunika Premachandra,— To ask the Minister of Law and Order and Southern Development ,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) separately of the number of complaints received by the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) against the current and former Members of Parliament, Provincial Council Members, Members of Pradeshiya Sabhas, Urban Councils and Municipal Councils from 08.01.2015 to date;
(ii) whether the names of the current and former Members of Parliament, Provincial Council Members and Members of Pradeshiya Sabhas, Urban Councils and Municipal Councils who have been subjected to allegations as mentioned in (i) above will be tabled separately;
(iii) separately of the number of the current and former Members of Parliament, Provincial Council Members and Members of Pradeshiya Sabhas, Urban Councils and Municipal Councils against whom investigations have been started by the Special Investigations Unit; and
(iv) separately of the progress of these investigations?
(b) If not, why?
