      Hon. Lakshman Ananda Wijemanne,— To ask the Minister of Home Affairs,—

      (a) Is he aware that —

      (i) the administrative activities of the 11 Divisional  Secretariat Divisions in  Trincomalee  District  have been carried out so far in accordance with the old demarcations, and the new demarcations are being marked in accordance with the Transfer of Powers Act,             No. 58 of 1992 and the Gazette Notification No.935 dated 02.08.1996;

      (ii) this demarcation divides the Grama Niladhari Divisions of                       31 J Sinhapura, 31 F Old Medawachchiya and 31 M Samanpura in Padavi Sri Pura Division  into two divisions; and

      (iii) a part of the 233 C  Mailawewa Grama Niladhari  Division  in Gomarakadawala Division and some parts of the Seruvila Division are divided  among  other divisions?

      (b) Will he inform this House —

      (i) the Grama Niladhari Divisions and villages into which the                   11 Divisional Secretariat  Divisions in  Trincomalee District have been divided according to the old administrative  division  system;

      (ii) the  Grama Niladhari  Divisions / Villages which came under the demarcation limits of other divisions when marking the demarcation lines in accordance with the Act mentioned in (a) (i);

      (iii) whether new demarcation lines are marked according to the decisions of the Delimitation Committees functioning at present;

      (iv) if so, the aforesaid  basis; and

      (v) whether the concurrence of the occupants of each division is sought for it?

      (c) If not, why?
