Hon. Imran Maharoof,— To ask the Minister of Home Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the date of establishment of Thoppur sub-divisional secretariat in the Trincomalee District;
(ii) of the details of the permanent staff and the acting staff working at the aforesaid secretariat; and
(iii) of the nature of the services the aforesaid secretariat offers to the public?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) of the reasons as to why the LGN Development Projects announced by the Ministry of Home affairs are not implemented by Thoppur sub-divisional secretariat; and
(ii) whether the former District Secretary stopped that project in a planned manner?
(c) Will he state whether action will be taken to increase the cadre of Thoppur sub-divisional secretariat in order to provide more services through that office in the interest of the public?
(d) If not, why?
