Hon. Mylvaganam Thilakarajah,— To ask the Minister of Labour, Trade Union Relations and Sabaragamu Development,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether he is aware that the regional plantation companies are implementing a scheme called ‘Out-grower’ in the estate management violating the procedure of the current collective agreement;
(ii) if so, the regional plantation companies that have implemented the scheme mentioned in (i) above;
(iii) whether they are implemented in accordance with the law or the collective agreement; and
(iv) whether the ‘Out-grower’ scheme will be implemented by the Ministry in the future?
(b) If not, why?
