Hon. Nalin Bandara Jayamaha,—To ask the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the total amount of electricity that was generated using solar power and was added to the national grid as at 06.09.2017;
(ii) whether he is aware that employees of Ceylon Electricity Board are taking measures to discourage installations that are made for generating electricity using solar power; and
(iii) of the nature of steps that have been taken by the Ministry to raise awareness among employees of Ceylon Electricity Board about “Surya Bala Sangramaya” project?
(b) If not, why?
