Arrangements have been made to hold the Asian Women Parliamentarian Caucus Annual Meeting – 2023 in Colombo this year.
This year, the theme of the Asian Women Parliamentarian Caucus is “Inclusivity & Diversity in Gender Equality in Parliaments in Asia”.
Accordingly, this meeting and related program will be held from October 9th to 11th.
Hon. Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana, Speaker of Parliament, Hon. (Dr.) (Mrs.) Sudarshini Fernandopulle, Chair of the Women Parliamentarians’ Caucus, Mrs. Kushani Rohanadeera, Secretary General of Parliament delegates of the Asian Women Parliamentarian Caucus, government officials of several foreign countries will be in participation at the event scheduled for the 9th of October at 10.00 a.m.
In this series of programs, the Asian Women Parliamentarian Caucus is scheduled to hold discussions with the Election Commission, government institutions, non-governmental organizations and members of civil organizations as well as join several observation tours.
The Women Parliamentarians’ Caucus has organized this year’s annual meeting together with the Asian Women Parliamentarian Caucus.
