Hon. Indika Anuruddha Herath,— To ask the Minister of Buddhasasana,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the number of students who receive Dhamma School education in Sri Lanka;
(ii) of the amount of money available in the fund set up for the development of Dhamma Schools;
(iii) of the allocations made in the budget 2017 to build up aforesaid fund;
(iv) of the promotions carried out by the government so as to complement and appreciate the services rendered by the teachers of Dhamma schools and to retain them in the service;
(v) of the new measures taken by the government to regulate and ban tuition classes held on Sunday morning hours as they stand in the way when the students are directed towards the Dhamma education?
(b) If not, why?
