Hon. Hesha Withanage,— To ask the Minister of Internal & Home Affairs and Provincial Councils & Local Government,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether a project by the name of “500 Rural Bridges Project” which was initiated under the then Ministry of Provincial Councils, Local Government and Sports is implemented at present;
(ii) if so, of the objectives of the said project;
(iii) of the number and the names of the bridges selected for this project from the district of Badulla; and
(iv) of the programme in existence with the Ministry regarding the development of the other bridges in a dilapidated status in the district of Badulla?
(b) If not, why?
