Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara,— To ask the Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the date and place, the foundation stone was laid for the inception of Volkswagen factory;
(ii) of the extent of land earmarked for the purpose;
(iii) whether the said construction has commenced;
(iv) if so, the progress of the construction;
(v) whether the manufacturing process has commenced after the completion of the construction;
(vi) if so, the number of vehicles manufactured by now; and
(vii) if not, will the reasons be mentioned?
(b) If not, why?
