Hon. (Dr.) Nalinda Jayathissa,— To ask the Minister of Health, Nutrition & Indigenous Medicine,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the number of doctors required at present to provide
a optimum health service to the public;
(ii) of the number of doctors serving in the public service by 01.01.2019;
(iii) of the proposed number of doctors to be recruited to the public service in the coming years to achieve the expected target; and
(iv) of the plans how the government hopes to produce those number of medical graduates?
(b) If not, why?
