Hon. S. M. Marikkar,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious & Cultural Affairs and Minister of Urban Development & Housing ,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether a project has been proposed surrounding the Kelani river valley to minimize the risk of floods experienced by Kaduwela area;
(ii) if so, the project is; and
(iii) if such a project has not been proposed yet, the future measures that will be taken to minimize the risk of floods experienced by Kaduwela area are?
(b) If not, why?
