    1. 262/2020 Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious & Cultural Affairs,— (a) Will he admit that— (i) Buddhism is a practical subject; (ii) it is taught as a subject targeting exams at Dhamma Schools and schools at present; and (iii) human qualities including discipline and self-control that can be inculcated through Buddhist philosophy are not introduced to the society through the said methods nevertheless? (b) Will he inform this House— (i) whether steps will be taken to teach the practical application of Buddhist philosophy; and (ii) if so, the manner in which such steps will be taken? (c) If not, why?
