521/2020 Hon. Mujibur Rahuman,— To ask the Minister of Public Security,— (a) Will he inform this House whether applications were called for filling vacancies in the post of Assistant Superintendent of Police? (b) Will he also inform this House— (i) whether officers were called for the interview to fill the aforesaid vacancies; (ii) of the method of giving marks at the aforesaid interview; (iii) whether the method of giving marks was revised during the period in which applicants had been called for the interview; (iv) whether it is proper to revise the method of giving marks in that manner; and (v) whether the applicants were informed of the revision of the method of giving marks? (c) Will he further inform this House— (i) whether the seniority list of the officers who had applied for the aforesaid post was backdated while arrangements were being made to conduct the interview; (ii) if so, of the names of the officers whose seniority was backdated; (iii) if so, of the basis for backdating them; (iv) whether the interview was postponed thereafter without giving any notice and any reason; of the present situation with regard to the interviews; (vi) whether the interview will be held in future; and (vii) if so, of the date on which the interview will be held? (d) Will he also further inform this House— (i) whether officers in the rank of Chief Inspector of Police were appointed to cover the duties in the post of Assistant Superintendent of Police; and (ii) if so, of the duties they were appointed to cover? (e) If not, why?
