Hon. Y.G. Padmasiri,— To ask the Minister of Child Development and Women’s Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the number of pre schools in Sri Lanka at present ;
(ii) the number of teachers who serve in those pre schools ; and
(iii) the annual average student enrolment for pre school education?
(b) Will he state—
(i) whether a standard system is followed for registering pre schools and pre school teachers in Sri Lanka ; and
(ii) whether an approved national level training course is available for the training of pre school teachers?
(c) If not, why?
