Hon. Imran Maharoof,— To ask the Minister of Justice, Prisons Affairs and Constitutional Reforms,—
(a) Will he inform this House of—
(i) the number of prisons established in the Eastern province; and
(ii) the locations where the said prisons have been established?
(b) Will he also inform this House of—
(i) the number of inmates that can be accommodated in each aforementioned prisons, separately;
(ii) the number of inmates presently accommodated in each aforementioned prisons, separately;
(iii) the number of inmates accommodated in each of these prisons exceeding the occupant capacity, separately; and
(iv) the measures that would be taken regarding the inmates accommodated exceeding the occupant capacity?
(c) If not, why?
