Hon. K. P. S. Kumarasiri,— To ask the Minister of Transport and Highways,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the amount of annual tax levied on the luxury buses operating long distance services;
(ii) of the amount charged form the said buses for road permits;
(iii) whether the levying of the above charges is justified in a situation where the prices of fuel, tires and auto spare parts have gone up;
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) of the concessions that can be given to the bus industry in Sri Lanka;
(ii) of the steps that have been taken to provide optimum transport service to the commuters;
(c) If not, why?
