Hon. Ravi Karunanayake,— To ask the Minister of Postal Services,—
(a) Will he state—
(i) the number of workers in the Postal Department ;
(ii) the number of required members of staff to provide good postal services; and
(iii) required number of staff of the Postal Department per district, separately ?
(b) Will he also state—
(i) whether the postal service can be automated in order to be made the mail sorting quicker ; and
(ii) the loss to the government owing to the fact that the revenue was less than the actual cost of the Postal Department for the last 2 years separately?
(c) If not, why?
