Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara,— To ask the Minister of Trade, Commerce and Food Security,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) separately, the volume of coconut oil imported to Sri Lanka during last five years and the amount spent for the purpose in each year;
(ii) details of the importers who had imported coconut oil during the aforesaid period; and
(iii) of the reasons for importing coconut oil to Sri Lanka?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) of the institution that examines the quality of imported coconut oil;
(ii) whether coconut oil unsuitable for consumption had been imported during the aforesaid period;
(iii) if so, separately, the name of each importer and the volume imported; and
(iv) of the action that have been taken against the aforesaid consignment of coconut oil?
(c) If not, why?
