Hon. (Dr.) (Ms.) Harini Amarasuriya,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Will he inform this House separately —
(i) of the approved academic cadre and non-academic cadre in each of the state universities in Sri Lanka;
(ii) of the breakdown of permanent staff in terms of different categories in each of the above universities;
(iii) of the vacancies exist in the approved cadre by now in each of the state universities; and
(iv) faculty-wise vacancies exist in the University of Colombo, University of Jaffna, University of Ruhuna, University of Rajarata, and University of Peradeniya?
(b) Will he also inform this House separately regarding each of the state universities—
(i) the number of employees who are on postgraduate and/ or sabbatical leave by now;
(ii) the number of employees who have vacated the post;
(iii) the number of employees who resigned during the period from 2021 to 2023; and
(iv) the number of academic staff on contract, visiting or temporary basis by now?
(c) If not, why?
