Hon. Jayantha Samaraweera,— To ask the Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the number of archaeological sites identified by the Department of Archeology to be gazetted as archaeological sites at present;
(ii) separately of the name of each archaeological site and the province, district and divisional secretariat division where they are located;
(iii) of the number of archaeological sites gazetted so far; and
(iv) separately of the name of each archaeological site, the province, district and divisional secretariat division in which they are located?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) whether a time frame has been fixed for gazetting archaeological sites which have not been gazetted so far as archaeological sites; and
(ii) if so, what the said time frame is?
(c) If, now why?
