Hon. (Dr.) (Ms.) Harini Amarasuriya,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of total funds allocated from the Budget for higher education for the year 2023;
(ii) separately, the percentage of funds allocated on capital expenditure and recurrent expenditure from the aforesaid total allocation;
(iii) separately, the funds released from the above allocation by now for capital and recurrent expenditure;
(iv) separately, the funds allocated and released for Research and Development in the State Universities during the period from 2019 to 2023; and
(v) of funds allocated and released for the Open University of Sri Lanka, Ocean University of Sri Lanka, University of Vocational Technology, Institute of Engineering Technology, Katunayake, General Sir John Kotelawela Defence University and Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka for the period from 2021 to 2023, separately?
(b) If not, why?
