Hon. B. Y. G. Ratnasekara,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Will he inform this House of—
(i) the literacy rate in Sri Lanka at present;
(ii) the number of students who drop out of schools annually by their grade separately;
(iii) the number of vocational training courses available for school leavers; and
(iv) the number of students who got trained under the aforesaid vocational training courses from 2020 to 2022 separately according to each year?
(b) Will he also inform this House of —
(i) the number of technical colleges in Sri Lanka at present;
(ii) the number of technical colleges functioning, out of the aforesaid colleges; and
(iii) the number of students currently studying in technical colleges?
(c) If not, why?
