Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara,— To ask the Minister of Co-operatives and Internal Trade,—
(a) Will he state separately, the amount of money allocated annually by the government from the year 2005 to 2012 for popularizing bakery products using rice flour including bread and buns ?
(b) Will he state—
(i) the machinery purchased for the aforesaid production ;
(ii) separately, the value of each machinery;
(iii) the individuals or institutions to whom they have been handed over; and
(iv) the present status of such machinery ?
(c) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the current progress regards the rice flour based bakery products; and
(ii) whether necessary arrangements have been made by now to cause the full use of rice flour based bakery products instead of wheat flour based bakery products in the country ?
(d) If not, why ?
