Hon. Hesha Withanage Ankumbura Arachchi,— To ask the Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House of the —
(i) date on which the incident of breaking Buddha’s statues occurred in Mawanella area before the Easter Sunday Attack;
(ii) names and the addresses of persons arrested in connection with the incident concerned; and
(iii) measures have been taken against them?
(b) Will he also inform this House of the—
(i) names of the security officers who conducted investigations into the incident referred to in (a) (i) above;
(ii) Governors and powerful persons of the then government who influenced on the security officers concerned in the conduct of their investigations, separately; and
(iii) present progress of the investigations into the above-mentioned incident?
(c) If not, why?
