Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara, Attorney at Law,—To ask the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the value of the currency notes printed and coins minted after the Presidential Election held in the year 2024 up until now in Sri Lankan Rupees;
(ii) of the number of times it has been done;
(iii) of the denominations of the currency notes and the coins so produced and of the total values of the currency notes and coins produced, separately;
(iv) of the reasons for producing such notes and coins;
(v) by whom approval was given for producing notes and coins referred to above; and
(vi) of the purpose for which such notes and coins have been used?
(b) Will he also inform this House —
(i) whether currency notes and coins are expected to be produced in future; and
(ii) if so, of the values of such notes and coins are going to be?
(c) If not, why?
