    1. Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara, Attorney at Law,— To ask the Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs,— (1)

      (a) Will he inform this House —

      (i) whether the L.T.T.E, some other organization, an individual or individuals held a Martyrs Day (Mahaviru) celebration in memory of the L.T.T.E cadres who died during the war in the north and east in November 2024;

      (ii) if so, of the parties that held such celebrations;

      (iii) whether state patronage had been accorded for it;

      (iv) whether the government had been aware of such celebrations before they were conducted;

      (v) whether an organization which has been banned not only in Sri Lanka but also internationally has the ability to hold such celebrations in Sri Lanka;

      (vi) of the steps that had been taken to prevent the holding of such celebrations; and

      (vii) whether the government takes the responsibility over the holding of celebrations of a banned organization?

      (b) If not, why?
