Hon. (Mrs.) Nilanthi Kottahachchi, Attorney at Law,—To ask the Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether there is a Police Mounted Division in Sri Lanka Police;
(ii) if so, of the number of horses in the possession of that division at present; and
(iii) of the numbers of horses according to the age categories, separately?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) whether tenders have been called under the number: LA/SJ/300/2024 to import 15 live horses to the Police Mounted Division;
(ii) if so, of the number of tenders presented;
(iii) of the supplier who has been selected to import those horses; and
(iv) of the amount to be spent to import those 15 horses as per the above tender?
(c) If not, why?
